Motivational Business Speaker - Mark Scharenbroich
John Stumpf, president and CEO of Wells Fargo & Company, calls Mark “an original … the best motivational speaker I’ve ever heard.” Chicken Soup for the Soul™ creator Mark Victor Hansen says he’s a “wow of wows … magical, mesmerizing, motivating … brilliant.” And Jim Bridger, franchise director for the largest private hotel brand in North America, puts it bluntly: Mark Scharenbroich’s “the best motivational speaker money can buy.”
They’re not the only ones. Clients constantly remark on his unconventional approach, knockout humor, and personal stories with universal appeal. All focus on the relationship side of creating results, connecting people to people, management to front line, team member to team member, company to customer.
Mark has built his professional public speaking career by working in both business and education, discovering how some of the best organizations and leaders create a culture that encourages people to perform at a higher level. His messages improve employee engagement, help people to embrace change, enhance team collaboration, fuel the passion to serve others and create meaningful connections. |

Professional Background - The High Highlights
While earning a degree in mass communications at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, Mark wrote, directed and performed in a comedy troupe called Mom’s Apple Pie, which won the state talent competition after sharing the stage with a HUGE butter carving of Princess Kaye’s face and a prize 1527-pound Holstein named Elsie. The group performed together throughout the Midwest in the ’70s, and when it disbanded, Mark went solo and combined his comedy training with motivational speaking.
Soon after, Mark was employed by Jostens—the leading manufacturer of class rings, yearbooks and graduation products—to speak to their customers throughout North America. In 1981 Mark was featured in a film called “The Greatest Days of Your Life … (So Far),” which was seen by over a million viewers worldwide. It earned him the Golden Apple and Silver Screen film awards. Mark became noted in education as a leading expert in the area of leadership and student engagement.
After he left Jostens to further develop his speaking career, Mark and his wife, Susan, founded Scharenbroich & Associates, Inc. Today, they've been married for 30 years and continue to partner together in the company, which serves business and education audiences internationally. They reside in their home state, the frozen tundra (except for three weeks in July) of Minnesota. They have three grown children and one adorable bulldog.
Currently, Mark's writing his first book about the principles of Nice Bike, which is titled … wait for it… Nice Bike: Making Connections that Move People.
